In a unexpected crossover event that defies conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine group.

The mission focuses on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Transformations

The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Bonus Material

Players who accomplish the quest will receive an exclusive katana together with numerous items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This patch also brings the game's newest no-cost story content, titled "The Enigma."
